Titusville, FL
January 23 – 28, 2013
Brevard Community College North Campus
This is a wonderful Festival loaded with workshops (classroom & in-the-field), attended and sponsored by some of the top-notch equipment manufacturers in the world, professional photographers & artists offering their expertise, and of course an abundance of Mother Nature’s treasures, the wildlife.
I am proud to be a part of this grand affair as a Keynote Speaker (Thursday evening 6:30 – 8:00 pm in the College Auditorium), where I will be speaking about “The Business of Wildlife & Nature Photography: the Glamor, the Fame, the Fortune—the Truth!” I will also be a group leader/instructor for three in-the-field workshops, and will have a major double booth with brochures, displays showing my tours to Africa, Brazil, Florida Journeys, etc., etc. My books will be on display and for purchase, the Better Beamers for your flash will be for sale, as well as numerous other little surprises, especially a sign up sheet for a free critique of your work if you so desire.
For those of you who are not aware of the area of Titusville, it is right at the heart of the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge & is teaming with wildlife. There are numerous other areas to be visited that also are home to an abundance of visiting birds from the North as well as year round residents. Otters, deer, the Florida Panther and various other furry mammals can be and have been seen here. Remember, it’s winter time and many “goodies” travel south to Florida to get away from the cold winds of the North.
Just to diverse for a moment, I want to mention that I have two openings available for my four-day Pontoon Putt on the St. Johns River February 2nd thru 5th, checking out the 6th. You can see pictures of wildlife on the river, see the boat and get details. If you would like to join us, please let me know asap.
Now back to Titusville Festival….. I just wanted to mention that I always have a running slide show at the booth of some of my favorite critters & scenics. You are welcome to come & ‘pull up a stump’ visit and watch the videos.
I hope to see you there!!
