Madagascar Photo Tours

The Republic of Madagascar, formerly known as the Malagasy Republic, is an island nation in the Indian Ocean directly off the southeastern coast of Africa.

This mysterious island is home to some of the most amazing and unique creatures ever seen! Many of the creatures you’ll see on your Joanne Williams’ Madagascar Photo Tour are not only indigenous but endemic to this island– meaning they are found exclusively in Madagascar and nowhere else on Earth!

The main island is the fourth largest island in the world and is home to 5% of the world’s plant and animal species. Many ecologists refer to Madagascar as the “eighth continent” due to its unique variety of plants and animals, which are largely attributed to its geographic isolation. Furthermore, 90% of the local plants and over 80% of the indigenous animals are found only in Madagascar. Over 3000 endemic species of butterflies hover over this enchanted island.

To set foot on this magical and mysterious island is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience that you will certainly never forget! Joanne Williams Photography Tours has made all the arrangements necessary to ensure that your photographic tour of Madagascar will be the wonderful adventure you’ve always dreamed of. You’ll have almost as many spectacular pictures as you will memories!

These safaris are led by Joanne Williams and her highly trained field guides who are the best in the business! To get an idea of what’s in store for you and your party, browse an itinerary from a previous Madagascar photo safari.
